Hello everyone
I recently became a mod in the FYANBQS server and i suggest that we add two new rules, atleast two to start with. The rules i think we need, or work harder with, are: No Flaming and No Insulting.
There are very many ignorant people in the server, as well as in the whole CoD community overall. I see both new players and experienced players flaming on other players, usually because the flamer believes that the person hacks. Some players are actually obviously hacking though, with obviously i mean the ones who stand in the middle of the map and no scopes everyone, or uses 100% aimlock. Or those who uses other guns than snipers.
But there is also the other category of players who are just plain good at the game. And those players are the main subject here. They don't deserve comments all the time accusing them for hacking. Some people does even go further with insulting the person. Most people does not even give any reason, arguements, nor proof to the accuse. It is of course possible that some of the "good players" are hiding hacks. But if you look through material of that player playing you can usually see some kind of unnatural skill. So the players who are just really good at the game or good enough for people being suspicious about that player, should get more respect and not be thrown hateful comments in the ingame chat. Of course you should be able to accuse a person for hacking, but i think that it is important that you leave arguements and proof for it.
The atmosphere in the server chat has been quite bad, almost every game i see someone mindlessly accusing a good player for cheating. Or the ones who want last kill nice and when someone does not do it they call him/her an idiot or similar. Me personally has had my chat turned off by changing the command ChatHeight to 0 in the game's config file, but since I've met people regularly in the server and became friends with them - I've turned my chat on again to be able to talk to them, and see what they write.
Perhaps we can teach people to give more structured criticism of a player by making them follow the two rules, No Flaming and No Insulting.
Sincerely, ColouRz
